Kip works in a smoothie shop. One day, the famous and beautiful Scott Hunter comes and order a smoothie. Each one of them is struck by the other and they fall in love. Kip is out, but Scott, as a hockey star, is scared to reveal his sexuality. Nevertheless, they start dating.
The plot turns around the difference between a poor boy and a rich super star. One being super secretive, protective of his private sphere and scared of ruining his career. The other being out and feeling like a small secret toy that might fulfill the needs of a superstar for a small moment until being discarded.
Each party struggle with his own challenges but they manage in the end to settle together and find a balance that satisfy both of them.
This novel is easy to read. The love story seems a bit easy: they fall in love and their attraction is never questioned or moderated. There's quite a few very graphic sex scenes, that don't bring much to the novel. It's weird because despite being quite exciting, this was not really interesting and after reading a few ones, I skipped the other ones.
